Last year, a heartwarming new tradition was established by Sgt. Towns, one of the local commissionaires at NRS Aldergrove, with the goal of bringing the community together to make a meaningful difference during the holiday season. This initiative aimed to support families in need by raising funds through a bottle drive, as well as collecting food and toys for donation to local charities. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, and the event became a cherished annual tradition.

This year marked the second annual Stuff the Truck event, and it proved to be an even greater success. With the help of volunteers and generous community members, we were able to raise an impressive $879 from sorting and collecting bottles, along with additional cash donations. In addition to the monetary contributions, we received an outpouring of donations in the form of toys and non-perishable food items, all of which will go directly to local families who need extra support during the holiday season.
The success of this event highlights the incredible spirit of generosity and community at NRS Aldergrove, and it’s inspiring to see how, together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of others. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come and are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this year's Stuff the Truck event a tremendous success.
